Colin Powell Says He’ll Vote for Hillary Clinton
NY Times ^ | Oct. 25, 2016 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Colin L. Powell, the Republican former secretary of state, said on Tuesday that he planned to vote for Hillary Clinton for president as he condemned her rival, Donald J. Trump, at an event on Long Island.

Speaking before the Long Island Association, a trade group that frequently hosts political figures, Mr. Powell divulged his intentions come Election Day. “I am voting for Hillary Clinton,” he said, according to Matthew Cohen, a spokesman for the association. Mr. Powell went on to praise Mrs. Clinton for her skills as a leader and her experience.

Paule Pachter, a Long Island Association board member, said that Mr. Powell was blunt.

“He said he would support Hillary Clinton and he also elaborated on several reason why he felt that Donald Trump was not the right candidate,” he said. “He spoke about his inexperience, he spoke about the messages that he’s sending out every day to his supporters, which really paints our country in a negative light across the globe with all our allies.”

The comments were a change from Mr. Powell’s tone in hacked emails from his inbox that were made public in September. In the emails, Mr. Powell criticized Mr. Trump but also expressed bitterness at Mrs. Clinton for repeatedly pointing to Mr. Powell’s email habits to explain away her own use of a private email server while she ran the State Department.

He cites a billionaire’s lack of experience yet he voted for the junior sinator from Illinois whose only “significant” accomplishment was getting the court record of his opponent t unsealed.

He calls himself a Republican, but he has voted Democrat in the last three presidential elections.

I don’t know if Trump has talked to Jim Webb, but I know that he previously ruled out voting for her but was open to Trump. That’d be a great get if he could pick up the endorsement of one of her primary opponents.

Jim is finished in Democrat politics anyway, so he might as well apologize for his Obamacare vote and hit the campaign trail speaking for Trump. I feel a little sorry for him watching what his party has become, but it’s time to smash those zombies in the head and move on.

“You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?”

Colin Powell is nothing less than a national disgrace.

His endorsement will only gain Hitlery ONE more vote.

Colin Powell is a whining creep who was upset that the Clinton’s got all the money for speeches leaving none for him.

Colin Powell Says He’ll Vote for Hillary Clinton

Two thoughts; Good! and WHO CARES?

I would be more disappointed if Powell were to pledge to vote for Trump. This seals his political fate just like the rest of the Establishment GOP. No room for traitors in the new Trump administration.

Voting ‘Rat for President 3 cycles in a row! Worse than a RINO, a perfect mole for the Democrats.

Let’s face it, Powell was a pure Affirmative Action promotion of the Reagan/Bush years who pretended to be a R. to get ahead in his career.

No surprise at all. Powell spent a career becoming entrenched in the establishment while he was still in uniform. As a Secretary of State he was deeply internationalist, globalist as we’d say these days, deeply concerned with making decisions with a regard to the welfare of people to whom he was not responsible at the expense of people to whom he was. I doubt he considers party affiliation more than a mild itch, but God help anyone threatening his status as a ranking member of the ruling class.

I never would have guessed that after supporting Barack Hussein twice in a row, this republican would support Hillary Rodham too. I’m guessing they will trot him out every four years to surprise us with whom this republican supports in all future elections too.
