This makes sense. It was speculated that she had drug holidays before the debates so she would be clear for those.

However they can't have her off the trail three days for each day of campaigning. They had to come up with something that would allow her to give at least one speech a day.

I'm sure the hope is that everyone will forget about the long stretch in the summer and fall when she had few if any public appearances.

If people only remember the last couple of weeks, then when the MSM tries to give her the coronation she expects it won't look quite as deceitful as it is.
