it’s going to be weird to see little kids Trick’r’Treating in shorts and tank tops. LOL!

They won’t be in shorts and tank tops here this weekend. It won’t be cold but it’ll be too cool for that attire.

Living where we do, we don’t get any trick-or-treaters. They stay in town and don’t go out in the country.

I usually turn the lights off. Sounds cruel, but we don’t just get neighborhood kids anymore. They are brought in from all over town and come in packs. I don’t like that. If I know a kid, I’ll give it something, if not...they are better off going to the church sponsored Trunk-or-Treet programs. it’s safer. Our street is very dark!

I honestly don’t know how many kids go around trick-or-treating here. Like there, there are church sponsored parties as well as others that are safer for them.

Business owners in the towns in this area set a date for trick-or-treating at their businesses - - on Halloween or the closest week day before it. Since Halloween’s on a Monday this year, they’ll do it that afternoon.

We have candy at the HQ so we’ll be ready for any that show up there next week.

We have lots of kids here. The mall used to provide candy for them, then asked the stores to...it got really expensive! Then they cut it out. The kids were keeping real shoppers from doing what they came for...spending their money! LOL!

I don’t like that the big kids prowl around and cause problems with the little ones and whoever else they want to harass. That’s another reason I keep a low profile. :)

Should probably keep the kitties in that night, too!

It’s pretty much the little kids who do the trick-or-treating in the towns here. I think the older ones were pretty much discouraged from doing it when this stuff first started up. There are parties for them and there are parties for the younger ones at various places so there’s something for them to do for fun.

The town where our HQ is has a big bash for all age groups and the Republican Women’s Group serves “witches brew” and candy. We dress up and have fun with it. I won’t work our booth this year since I’ll be at the HQ Monday and the bash kicks off about the time I get off. I have to come home to deal with the cats - - that’s feeding time and more important, medication time. Four are on meds for life and can’t miss them.

Yes! It would be a VERY good idea for y’all to have the kitties inside that night. Maybe every night through the weekend.

Good idea if I can keep them in. They are really insistent to go out...They usually stay pretty close to home, I think.

Better safe than sorry. Though black cats are in the most danger, any cats will do if some ***hole is around wanting to be a total jerk.

Our cats that are allowed outside reeeeeeally want to be out at night but no amount of begging will get me to let them go. No more coyote dinners from this place.

TO THE

FR CANTEEN

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning to our

AWESOME

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Lauren, for preparing the Canteen
for today's activities.
Bummer when you don't have access to the Internet.
Yet, you are a trooper for getting the thread out on time.
Another local road trip.
Like them day trips.

I'm really enjoying the gym.
It's a little hard convincing myself
to get dressed and go out so early in the morning,
but once I get there...

Remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS

So, come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea;
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

Oh, I totally understand your concern about coyotes! Don’t need them to have cat-food!
