Hey, Louis, your comment gives me an idea.
We know that no Pulitzer Prize is ever going to be awarded to Julian Assange. And he sure doesn't need/want the elite journalism class patting him on the back.
But why can't we FReepers give out an annual award/recognition to a public figure who moves American freedom forward? A guy like Julian might truly appreciate an award from the largest freedom of speech forum in the U.S.
In fact we can ask FReepers to nominate their favorites and poll every FReeper to elect someone! What say y'all?

An ‘Annual Award’, far above my pay grade. However, if this is done Julian’s name should be included, BUT the first should actually be Andrew Breitbart.
That the clown man, Citizen Beck, feels the ‘leaks’ to be immoral, illegal,unethical- may I suggest to him after he returns his pointed hat to the top of his head: SO WHAT IS THE DEMOCRAT(ic)party? To think our country has a major party such as this is beyond the pale. It is not a party which ANY CHRISTIAN should wish to be a part, even a minuet part. Not one plank of their platform could withstand the weight placed on its surface. Slavery, infanticide,corruption, no mention of GOD- our Creator. Thanks but no thanks. Citizen Beck has spent all his hot air blowing up balloons and has at last been deflated.

An absolutely stunning suggestion. Of course what is a badge of honor for some will be viewed as a curse for others. This is a community of long standing that speaks with a vibrant conservative voice.
