Exactly! In western world “family” court, the mother could come to court dripping in blood from wielding an ax and she would hands down get full custody. States lose a lot of money when they give dads custody. Bill Clinton’s regime gives fed kick backs to the local gov’ts that collect the most child support payments from dads.
The ultimate wealth redistribution scheme with a bonus of wussifying American children, particularly male children. Big Pharma also loves the status quo for obvious reasons: replace father’s discipline with a pill.
The issue to me is that the mother, who used to be a mental health nurse, has been so indoctrinated into the cause of transgenderism that she has got to the stage where she sees it everywhere, even where it isn't. Gender dysphoria exists, but it's extremely rare and it's certainly hard to see how a four year old can even understand the very concept.
This is the real issue with these whacky theories - the people who believe in them hold them as a matter of faith. In most cases they are a substitute for faith. Worse, they impose them on other people, usually very vulnerable people like their infant children. This kid is going to be mentally scarred by all this for years, maybe for life.

Probably wouldn’t have if not for Breitbart. This isn’t the first case like this I’ve heard about. I think it’s a twist on Munchausen by proxy syndrome combined with a general hatred for men on the part of the mother.
