A disabled veteran didn’t get a job he sought in a federal agency, although he was qualified for the position and was supposed to receive preference. The job went instead to a political appointee of the Obama administration.
This was just one instance in which a nonpartisan government investigation found agencies didn’t follow the rules in hiring one-fourth of all the President Barack Obama political appointees who will be settled in career posts after a new president is sworn in Jan. 20.

As Trump pointed out, it’s a deplorable situation where illegal aliens get more support from the US federal government than American veterans.

A co-worker’s son (an Iraq veteran - multiple tours) was put behind “preferred minorities” (de facto Dem operatives) for police hiring; he went back to school because he couldn’t find work (and the military would pay).
I wonder at what point veterans determine it wasn’t worth it - that they would never defend what our country has devolved into.

We need to rise up and take our country back.
Affirmative action hiring is why the IRS, the VA and the Post office have become nothing but social programs for the incompetent. The blacks may be a minority but hiring for those government agencies is almost 100% for the blacks that apply.

I have to ask this question......The Demorats did win the election so doesn’t the sitting President get to preference their own people if he so chooses to do so?

At some level of jobs, the preference should not apply.
I am a GS 11 that did the work for a GS 13 that got his job because of preference hiring but didn’t have the skill set to do it.
But he still was paid....
This describes how the government has become a branch of the Leftist, Progressive Democrats and how it maintains that position. Democrats like Lois Learner move from US Gov. agency to agency and project the progressive while destroying conservatives.
Government service is so protected by Civil Service protections that it is on record that you can watch porn and masturbate at your gov. computer in a gov. office and not get fired! The discharge (firing) rate from US Government Civil Service is under 1%/year!
Sure; and if it truly lost then we need to let those who took it defend it.
