I wonder if they took Assange’s internet away to keep him from hacking the election, not because they worried so much about what he leaked (they wouldn’t have it reported much anyway), but because they worried he would hack the election computers. If he hacked them it wouldn’t be because he is evil, but because he knows how evil they are and that they have already hacked them. He would just hack them back, maybe even to favor Trump because he knows that if the truth he exposed had been reported to the public Clinton should lose, and actually should have been in prison already anyway.

From my understanding it is nearly impossible to detect election computer hacking. Likely the democrats like this and don’t want it to be used against them.

Assange is a “computer programmer” but I do not believe he is known as a “hacker”. In general Wikileaks is known for releasing information that others have given to them not for hacking into computers. So I do not think that anyone is concerned that Assange has ever had any intention to hack into election computers.
