I realize now that freepers are very very different from average people.
We are natural News Hounds and we enjoy reading.
Most people are not like that, .most people probably do not even read a newspaper or watch a single news show in a week or maybe a month.

Yup. My SO's eyes glaze over if I have news or talk on radio or TV. Cares not a whit about politics. Doesn't have the time or energy to dive in, and feels she doesn't make any difference, anyway. I try to explain how serious this all is, and I get "I believe you, but..."

I think your comment is spot on. Of my family and friends, I am the only one I know of that actually does any looking around on what’s being said and told to the masses. Most everybody relies on what they are spoon fed by the media. They might not trust them implicitly after talking with me, but neither do they search out information. We are the unusual ones.
