Anti-Sanctuary Bill Worries Immigration Attorneys
The Legal-Intelligencer ^

It would impose liability on a sanctuary city for crimes committed by an "unauthorized alien" and prevent cities from enacting ordinances that limit government employees' communication with federal authorities regarding an individual's immigration status. It would also withhold state funding from any municipality that does not comply within 90 days of the law's effective date.

Thirty-two counties in Pennsylvania have written or unwritten sanctuary policies that they will not honor detainment orders issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, according to a Temple University's Beasley School of Law report.

If these people came here legally, then why do they care?

And didn’t Kreepy Kaine say there was no such thing as these cities?

I find this whole situation appalling. Who gave these cities the right to ignore Federal Laws in respect to Immigration?? Is Immigration enforcement not delegated to the Fed Gov? I read today that Arpaio was indicted because HE WAS ENFORCING FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAWS AFTER BEING TOLD TO STOP ENFORCING SAID LAWS. I cannot remember a time when the Rule of Law was nearly completely abandoned, when it came to (Democrat) special interest groups. If we are not a country of Laws, there is anarchy. Maybe that’s what Obama is pushing, so he won’t be booted in January, 2017.

It should worry them damnit! We’re a sovereign nation , not some lawless, unassimilated boarding house for The Third World.

Well if there’s one thing that keeps me up at night, it’s my constant monitoring of the state of worry of immigration attorneys.

OK,I’m convinced. Not wanting a *single* “immigration attorney” to experience a single *moment* of anxiety I support the dismantling of our Border Service and the repeal of all our citizenship/residency laws.

You have to ‘register’ to read the article.

Screw that.

The immigration lawyers are only worried because ending sanctuary cities would have a negative impact on their revenue.

I desperately hope most of our attorneys get worried. About their livelihoods.

Lawyers, lawyers-turned-judges, lawyers-turned-politicians and pubic school teachers are the primary cause of America’s deep problems, imho.

I figure that more than 50% of the American people would not accept the tyrant.....that’s why I think it would be anarchy.

Who gave these cities the right to ignore Federal Laws in respect to Immigration??

I figure it's like this. We live in a democracy. Yeah, yeah, it sez republic on the paper but ever since Wilson liked the sound of the word democracy, we been a democracy.

And in a democracy, numbers rule.

When Philadelphia city council was holding the sanctuary hearings about 200-250 supporters showed up favoring change. So what if they were mostly central American illegals?

Those who were opposed numbered 7.

And that's whut gives the criminals the, I prefer power over right but whatever, right to ignore Federal Laws in respect to Immigration.

Saint Abraham Lincoln called out the army and State militias to invade the Southern states because Federal laws were not being enforced, therefore sanctuary cities like San Francisco should be bombarded like Charleston SC was.
