Actually if the website crashed, and nobody could register before the deadline, this ruling is probably not unreasonable.

I agree, it is probably not unreasonable. However, it’s certainly reopens a door for more potential fraud.

Reasonable or not (debatable), does the Federal Government have the Constitutional authority to dictate to the states how or when to conduct voter registrations? IMO, no.
