Passed My "Abstinence Anniversary" This Year

Well!

I look back and I realize that last month, I passed an 'abstinent anniversary" making this my twelve year of being chaste since breaking up with my boyfriend at age 21.

I decided then and there to abstain from sex until marriage and I have faithfully kept that vow. It's been twelve years of major changes and my remaining non-sexually active has been a mainstay throughout those changes.

It is! I bypassed the entire dating scene during my twenties and I am SO thankful that I made that choice. It’s led to so many good ones and frankly I wonder why more young women don’t choose to just focus on building their own life. I do think our free society is often loaded with temptation, but thing is, that it does give women the ability to decide the person they want to be and express who they truly are.

Hence, women with slutty preferences end up screwing around and women who are decent end up being able to choose a quiet life of dedication and hard work without making a mess of their personal lives.

Probably not many are interested in whether you do it or not. Wanna hear about my excellent flossing habits? Vanity post on your sex life? Weird.

I'm becoming more convinced we are all living in different worlds. No ones red is the same. I've believed A=A since I was a kid. What a sap.

This married guy asks the pharmacist where the (clearing his throat) condoms are located.
Pharmacist replies, “How many?”
Man replies, “Oh. A dozen should do it.”
“Big evening planned, huh?”

“No. January, February, March .... “

That’s about how long my wife has been abstinent.

I admire your discipline and choice of priorities, but I’ve always had the assumption that making the choice of being celibate comes easier for your average woman compared to your average man. I could be wrong. It may all come down to will power and nothing but that.

If that had been my choice, I would have needed other activities or preoccupations to absorb my energies. I have met some folks who become bonded to their professional goals. We all benefit when that happens, especially via teachers, engineers, athletes, doctors or people of the cloth. Even some artists are better off choosing to live in this way.

My wife and I got married late in life and unfortunately she went through an early menopause. I wouldn’t trade my wife for any woman in the world but I do regret not having children. Don’t wait too long to find that perfect mate.

God bless you! Keep up the good fight. I pray, if you believe marriage is your calling, that godly suitors worthy of you will be sent your way by GOD (in His timing) when you are ready to choose from among them to be your sole-mate for life. :)

Forgive me for suggesting, but that sounds an awful lot like what the feminazis like to preach.

It sounds like you are wired a lot differently than most women. Good luck finding a guy that matches your personality. Not being offensive, just an observation.

>> Don’t wait too long to find that perfect mate.

Write that down and paste it on your ‘fridge. Methinks other issues may be at play here. None of us are perfect. Sinners are forgiven.

And me? One crappy “practice” marriage at age 22. I’m now 36+ years with the same gal and we love each other more every day...

12 years? Are you actively looking for a husband or just enjoying flying solo?

Bewdy!

And on the same vein, I just passed

My 2 millionth hour of not using kleenex wipes

for any reason whatsoever!

(Normal sex, on the other hand, remains a constant desire to probe away...)

Oh, and there is a concept out there...

It is called a Personal Web Log (I believe some call it a “blog”)

that would serve you much better than posting irrelevant items to a website that is geared to much more important items than one’s personal sex life.

Unless, of course, you are related to mrs bill clinton in which case your personal sexual proclivities are of the utmost importance...

Oh, and I feel SO expectant awaiting to hear about how your latest bowel movement progressed.

And how your Midol(TM) useage is affecting your love interests.
