Julian Assange was Ecuador’s guest of honor. Until he wore out his welcome.

Ecuador treated Julian Assange like a trophy in 2012 when it opened the doors of its London embassy to the WikiLeaks founder, sheltering him from extradition to Sweden over rape allegations and, possibly, to the United States.

Rafael Correa, Ecuador’s leftist president, seemed to bask in Assange’s bad-boy glow, which gave the small South American nation a big role in a global drama. Protecting the WikiLeaks editor also gave Correa a way to poke Washington in the eye and look like a champion for press freedom even as he cracked down on journalists back home.

Correa embraced Assange’s mother at the presidential palace in Quito, Ecuador's capital, and championed the Australian “hacktivist” as an anti-imperialist comrade-in-arms.

Now he's treating Assange like a bad tenant who won’t leave.

On Tuesday, Ecuador’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that it was giving Assange the equivalent of a timeout by cutting off his Web access. The release by WikiLeaks of Hillary Clinton staffers’ hacked emails was having a “major impact” on the U.S. presidential race, the ministry said in a statement.

In the meantime back in the reality of the MSM at home and particularly the WaPo - they have largely ignored them for obvious reasons.

Classic ad hominem. That’s all the left has at this point.

It may be as simple as the Commie Leader of Ecuador would like to see a Commie lead the US.

Isn't it kind of damning that after leaks that show the President and his former cabinet member to be lying, corrupt traitors, this tin-pot nation was obviously pressured to shut the leaker down?

Who isn't going to smell the fear and conclude that the information is obviously accurate?

All but one of the Swedish charges against him have passed the statute of limitations. I think there are a few more years on the remaining one.

Ecuador's currency nowadays is the US Dollar.

Would I be wrong in thinking that could make them very dependent on the US government and US banks?

“Who isn’t going to smell the fear and conclude that the information is obviously accurate?”

The extremely dumbed-down American public...at least half of them or so. They believe whatever their masters tell them to believe.

And you expect us to believe these lies??? Julian was always welcome as Ecuador's guest of honor, and it was NOT Kerry the donkey that cut his Internet...it was Ecuador that did that because they don't want to be blamed for any interruption to the United States Presidential election...

Hillary didn't have anything to do with it, course if she could get a drone, she would have him killed, but as you can see, the Wiki Leaks are still coming...

So lie as much as you can media, talking heads, radio show hosts, and democrats...your the ones causing all the problems and fortunately enough for over Half of America, we have a Man that is speaking up for us, more than I can say for the whining stuttering fool that some voters put into office not just ONCE but TWICE!!! Now that is just plain STUPIDITY!!!

So, extend him Ecuadorian citizenship, issue him a diplomatic passport, and tell him to go to Ecuador to live.
