I am an election judge in Texas and we can use the DL for an ID (or we did until the Feds sued the state of TX for being racist). The DIFFERENCE is the name must be on the voter registration list with matching address. We NEVER turn a voter away. If name is not in registrar (or in another precinct), the voter is given a provision ballot. They have 7 days to report to election office to verify/confirm voter registration for their vote to count.

I'm curious as to whether Texas does any follow-up on the provisional votes. Any reports on how many did or did not confirm registration?
