Linda Suhler retweeted Mike Cernovich who claimed that Trump’s campaign’s internals have a LOCK on 264 Electoral Votes (just 5 or 6 shy of the necessary ones for either a tie or outright win). This is why the MSM is freaking out.
You’re voting for electors, not the candidate himself. Those electors are free to vote for whomever they want in the electoral college. Most likely they would vote for the new candidate of that party.

No I hear the average Republican gets around 92% to 94% in order to win so if TRUMP has 80% now he is still down 12%

By now, Hillary and her team know the names and whereabouts of all 3000 respondents. The NYT article on the 19 year-old black respondent certainly suggests that. Expect the poll to swing towards Hillary in the closing weeks. Controlling the polling narrative is one of their key tactics for rigging the election.
