I’m with you. If the state legislature selects the person to be senator and it has to be approved by the governor, people would be a lot more careful about who they voted for on the state level.

Rather than term limits Id rather see the 17th Amendment repealed. The House was meant to be the peoples representative, the Senate was meant to be the states. Bingo! It wouldn't be the end of all our problems, but that would be a great start. As it is now, the House represents fly-over country and the Senate represents the inner cities.
