I’m with you. If the state legislature selects the person to be senator and it has to be approved by the governor, people would be a lot more careful about who they voted for on the state level.

It wouldn't be the end of all our problems, but that would be a great start. As it is now, the House represents fly-over country and the Senate represents the inner cities.
