I disagree with you on this. Even though he doesn’t have any authority to do this, I’m sure this kind of campaign statement will carry a lot of weight with an electorate that is sick of business as usual in Washington.
I think most people are sick of D.C. and the insiders who are running the country into the ground, but this is a self-created distraction and he is already dealing with many.
This is an issue where he could say that it might be time for the voters to consider term limits and just move on. This is the kind of thing the media fixates on because it helps them to ignore his stance on issues. He wins on issues and that is our safest bet to retire the Clintons once and for all. Immigration, jobs, security, school choice, energy, repealing Obamacare, and appointing good judges. Add in a healthy dose of reversing our debt and deficit spending (remember the TEA party?) and he can win this thing!
His scripted speeches and policy statements have been brilliant in the last two months, but the corrupt media bastards don’t cover it because they are breathlessly covering the noise. I know much of this is not his fault (it is by their design), but he should not make their plan to filibuster on distractions easier.
