PITTSBURGH - An 11th-grade student at University Prep 6-12 school in Pittsburgh was found in possession of 10 stamp bags of heroin, according to a spokeswoman for Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Security said they became suspicious of the student when he arrived at school Tuesday morning and appeared to be under the influence.
When staff members escorted the student to the office, spokeswoman Ebony Pugh told Channel 11 News that he placed three stamp bags in his mouth.
He spit out the stamp bags and was examined by paramedics.
The student was released to his parents and will face charges, Pugh said.
Except when something BAD happens there....then it is University Prep in all media coverage.
Not that it matters, but I’ve never heard of ‘stamp bags’.
I was also wondering what that means.

They are little wax-paper bags that stamp collectors use to hold unmounted stamps. Heroin dealers on the east coast use them, and also “stamp” their product name/logo on them, so it has a double meaning.
Searched G**gle Images for “stamp bag”. Seems to be a very small glassine (wax paper) envelope often used as packaging for contraband.
Only the Steelers fans know.
I suppose this is an inner city news source, where of course the “readers” know instantly what a “stamp bag”.
10 Bags = Dealer quantities.
Drug dealers need to be executed, from playground level to kingpin and financier.
I figured that was it, but the definition seemed so simple and low tech, I thought I was wrong. There many euphenisms when it comes to illicit drugs. I recall hearing about people selling “Window Panes”(acid) back in the 70’s. These ‘Panes” had nothing to do with glass windows.
I love Western PA, and God knows I love the Steelers, but Pittsburgh is crime ridden. You know they say that Jesus Christ could come back, run as Republican for mayor, and lose.
What worries me most is that it’s getting so bad that the suburbs are getting bad too. There are gang fights at the malls outside of town. Those used to be nice neighborhoods.

Lotta kids collect stamps, and others are numismatics.
God damn the pusher boy (with apologies to John McKay)
I was mildly pondering the same!
what a racist you are!
Inner city failing school like this one is why we need Trump in the White House...
Wasn’t this Henry Hill’s territory in Goodfellas?
Stamp bags, those little glassine envelopes postage stamps come in.
