You are right about that. Julian Assange could release a video of Hillary Clinton snorting a line of meth, killing a basket full of puppies with a hammer and then take a bribe from an ISIS terrorist at midnight in the basement of the Chinese Embassy and her supporters (and the media) would not care. In fact, she's probably done most of those things.
The press is corrupt - ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and FOXNews - but to cover their corruption they've created their own rules of acceptability:
They speak in measured tones (any sociopathic actor can do this one).
They wear the right facial expression (that of a surprised and innocent 12 year old child - Chuck Todd and Mika are poster children for this silliness).
And they NEVER EVER NEVER criticize any member of a democrat protected victim group...
