..."This is more than the practical. This is also about something for us, or for me. It's about something spiritual, it's about reconciliation," he said. "It's about acknowledging the truth of the horrors of the past but also about trying to build a better future together, and as a European, that's what I hope to do."

I’ve seen polls with Jews favoring Need It (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-referendum-result-7-graphs-that-explain-how-brexit-won-eu-explained-a7101676.html) and some showing them disfavoring.

Frankly, any Jew who opposes Need It is an idiot; real Jews don’t want more anti-Semitic and anti-Israel freaks in Europe.

Cattle car through the Chunnel heading toward Germany. And of course there is no thing/ no group recently flooding into Germany that would conceivably harm Jews.

.. LONDON (AP) — Thomas Harding is doing what other descendants of Holocaust victims would find unimaginable: applying for a German passport ..

Why are today's Germans smeared with the crimes of Nazis from sixty years ago? That's comparable to today's white Americans being blamed for slavery.

Ben Lewis, a 49-year-old documentary filmmaker, is among those thinking about applying. Lewis, whose film and production company has worked for years on the continent, sees Brexit as an abomination, particularly the anti-immigrant sentiment in the U.K. that influenced many people to vote to leave the EU.

Good riddens, Ben. Don't let the door spank your ass ...

"It's blame the foreigners," he said. "It's like the 1930s all over again."

Wait 'til those furriners put their knife to your throat, Ben. They'll finish what Onkel Adolf started!

The sand Nazis will enact the Aryan Nazis' plan ... and then much more!

It is up to the Anglosphere to stop them.

I think it is beautiful that some Jews want to heal old wounds (to say the least) and build a more tolerant Germany.

That being said, dont.

tons of muzzies and i’m sure still some Neos around.

Uncle Joe was right about one thing. The only place Jews are sure of being protected is Israel.

In the US right now? Of course.

But the atheists are the fast growing group and both Christians and Jews, left or right wing, will have a battle on their hands.

Ben should move into the lion’s cage at the local zoo.

He’ll probably be safer.

Islands can be safer than continents.

Islamic refugees in Germany don’t like Jews very much.

England is on the right track to be safer for Jews.

... and ...

There was a huge anti-Christian Nazi movemen in Kiev over the weekend near a holocaust site.

My advise — England. And if Trump wins? The USA.

I agree. The timing is pretty bad.

I applied a few years ago,but didn’t qualify because citizenship did not pass through the maternal line. My mother escaped from Berlin in 1938 at age 13. The law changed in 1953 and my younger sister is now a dual U.S.-German citizen.

Whom do you apply to and what's involved?

You apply to the Bundesverwaltung (Federal Office of Administration) in Cologne through your local German consulate. If your father (or either parent if you were born after April 1, 1953) had their German citizenship revoked for racial or religious reasons, then you are eligible.

You need to be able to prove your relationships with original documentation (German birth certificates, etc.). We were lucky because my grandmother brought all the family’s papers with her on the flight from Germany, so I had a trove of documents. Otherwise, you will need to search German genealogy resources to locate the documents.

It took about a year after application to get an answer. As I said, my sister and her children qualified but I and my children did not. The good thing about the law is you don’t lose your U.S. citizenship, but become a dual citizen. BTW, our mother would have been appalled by the idea, but we decided to go for it after her death.

After? (My father was born in 1921 and left Berlin beginning in about 1936, for school, but may have returned up until 1938.)

The 1953 date applies to the child of the deprived former citizen but is not relevant in your case since it was your father. If your father had been a citizen and fled the country for racial/religious reasons anytime before November 1941 (11th Decree of the Reich Citizenshp Law), then you will be eligible.

Because the Brits have not embraced the Jews? Hah!
Talk about suicidal.
Germany is even more infested with violent Muzzies than the UK. Maybe they should consider Israel.

Shakespeare’s “The Merchant Of Venice” is still the way Europe is set up.

It would be nice to think that some of them might want to go and stand and fight, but then reality sinks in...

'Many of those seeking restoration of their citizenship don't intend to live in Germany — but want the freedom to travel and work in EU nations.'

Nobody has loyalty to a country anymore. People want the benefits and such, but want to pick and choose whenever they see fit.

I greatly respect the Jewish History and faith, and I admire Israel more than I can express. I cannot understand, however, the largely non-religious Jews who do everything they can to undermine our society (see the trash coming out of the movie and music industries), religion (see Soros and Mickey Weinstein) and politics (see Al Frankin, Al Grayson, and Richard Blumenthal).

They do this at the peril of their own people. Why?

“They do this at the peril of their own people. Why? “

Because their true “religion” is “Progressivism,” the same as assumed/nominal Catholics and other Christians.

Remember, a lot of the “Old Bolsheviks” were Jewish. I cannot imagine that they realized that they were enabling Murderous Communism, but by now they should know better, as should we all.
