John Kennedy, when a senator, described himself as an ‘Internationalist’ - but I don’t think it had the same meaning as ‘globalist’ . . . I believe that was more to distance himself from his father who was an isolationist.

Just for perspective, Isolationism was/is a legitimate America approach to foreign policy. Guys like Joe Kennedy co-opted it when they really meant ‘pro-Nazi’. The term never recovered.
