RESIDENTS of major German city Essen were left enraged after police and government officials ignored their no-go zone fears, saying they are “sick” of hearing about it.
Locals in the City’s Altenessen district brought begged officials to help, with one telling the City’s Mayor and the chief of police "I was born here and I do not feel safe anymore.”
But the officials shot down the claims of concerned locals, with Police Chief Frank Richter saying “I’m sick of it.”
The City’s Lord Mayor Thomas Kufen also knocked down the claims of his constituents, saying “Altenessen is not a no-go area, the people here are just angry”.
Others told horror stories of drug related crime and brawls, claiming police refused to respond in time to offer assistance to law abiding citizens.
Locals were left with no option but to laugh as the police official continued to dispute the claims that their local area was unsafe – despite people claiming they had been forced to leave the district they had called home after feeling unsafe.
German officials and police have long complained of a cover up of No-go zones within their precincts.
In 2011 former Chief Police commissioner Bernhard Witthaut said: "Every police commissioner and interior minister will deny it.
But of course we know where we can go with the police car and where, even initially, only with the personnel carrier.
"The reason is that our colleagues can no longer feel safe there in twos, and have to fear becoming the victim of a crime themselves.
"Even worse: in these areas, crimes no longer result in charges. They are left to themselves.”
It comes just days after police chiefs were been heavily criticised for sending officers into gang-ridden "no-go zones" after two officers were seriously injured in a petrol bomb attack.
The french officers were on patrol on the Grande Borne, a notorious housing estate in Paris, at the time of the sickening attack.
Eyewitnesses said they were "attacked from all sides" by the cowardly mob, who threw Molotov cocktails at the officers - who were badly burned and rushed to intensive care units in hospital
That future is now.

If this is our future if Hillary wins, and I have few doubts that it will be, I predict that several of those no-go zones will have plenty of food for the hogs, because at least Americans in the country between the coasts will not accept this.
I dunno.... there’s a kind of poetic justice in all this, seeing as how Islam and Nazism were allies.
And `Molotov cocktails’ thrown at police? It’s incredible that they don’t see a problem. Those are improvised weapons in close quarters combat.
If mozlims were throwing fire bombs in this country we would be shooting at them.

We had planned a trip to Europe for years (I lived there but hubby has never been) for our 20th anniversary. Then last year (year 19) we had a baby (Surprise!!) and with all this going on - we just cancelled the whole trip. It is worse now than it was during the cold war when I lived in Yugoslavia.

If I could, I would urge German citizens to form vigilante/Militia style groups. If the police aren’t going to deal with the problem then they will have to find a way to deal with it themselves.

It reminds me of the old Fritz Lang movie, ‘M’. Instead of the authorities overacting, in that case, to a child murderer, they are not acting enough.
People usually get the government they want. It sounds like in Essen, perhaps with the next election, they will get the government they need. Right now, the mayor is a Christian Democrat, like Merkel, but the Social Democrats outnumber the Christian Democrats in the council 34 to 31. There are also 11 Green Party councilmen. Not a single Alternative for Deutschland.
