I’ve never voted early before, but am thinking of doing so this time.
Thoughts? Does it matter?
If I do, is my vote counted immediately and locked in, so that it cannot be invalidated or disregarded later?
Or, are the early votes set aside and not tabulated until Election Day?

The reason I ask is, every election in the past, it seems like the media talking heads are “calling” the election before the polls close. Millions of votes aren’t even counted.
Additionally, a lot of commuters get stuck in traffic and then don’t bother to vote, when the election has already been called.
Also, I’ve heard of early absentee votes being set aside, and then not counted in Election Day totals, because somebody decided they “wouldn’t have mattered anyway.”

I want every vote for Trump to count, not just mine.

Remember 2000? The networks called Florida for Gore before all the nation had finished voting. Two thirds of the nation had not voted yet but how many dispirited Republicans stayed home because it was no use.
