Depends on the dynamics of the war...people will instinctively go for a tough leader...and Obama can’t cancel an election or risk civil war when we’ll need to fight an external one!
I wonder if the protesters suddenly showing up at the Crooked One’s rallies are the work of Steve Bannon. He’s kept a low profile since joining the Trump campaign. However he is said to have unusual access to the “deep web” and thus can do things behind the scenes that do not get picked up on by the media.
Not trying to say anything illegal but considering what we are up against, unconventional methods are needed.
I think the Trump campaign has been building a pretty formidable grass roots social media machine and that they will have a GOTV strategy that will stun the world on Nov 8. I don’t think there will be the kind of ORCA disaster that befell Mitt Romney four years ago.
We’ve had elections during wars before. In fact, even an actual civil war did not prevent the 1864 election from proceeding as planned.
Bottom line, for all intents and purposes this is a dead heat. You will see small bumps up and down in this poll till election day. Trump took a small hit from the video,, but not a crippling one, or his debate performance has mitigated the damage.
The results of a particular poll are not important, but the trend is. I am thinking that his crudeness is “baked in” for a large segment of the voting public.
Trump, for all his manifest flaws, has an ability to absorb blows that would be fatal to regular politicians. The Democrat Party, and the establishment GOP, don’t seem to remember how many times Trump has been declared politically dead this election cycle.
I suspect, and hope, that Trump will pull this out. #NeverHillary

I agree with your analysis. To bolster your point, Obama is starting a war to save Hillary(and himself). Hardly anything on the news. Is Donald mentioning this at his rallies? I don’t know but he should be plastering this all over the place. Obama will cancel the elections if he doesn’t think Hillary will win. They are very scared right now. Wiki and others are hitting them at every turn. Not getting a lot of press but it is happening. Meanwhile R’s are out voting early and D;s are holding off.

Annecdotal, but the yard signs around the area I drive have a bell weather element to them. There used to be plenty of Obama signs out here, but not a SINGLE Hillary sign yet. Been driving the same route this whole time.
In fact, the other day I saw an Obama bumper sticker — not a single Hillary bumper sticker.
Now as to Trump ... ever since the debate the number of his signs increased, probably by 25 percent.

This isn’t to say it isn’t true. Notice how it’s posted by “Anonymous”? The ‘hacktivist’ group Anonymous takes its name, partially, from the fact that 4chan makes all its posters anonymous, a lot of the initial energy and organization of Anonymous took place on 4chan.
Before you go delving into that cesspit I recommend reading up on it.

I wouldn’t underestimate private initiative. It takes someone like Trump to wake up patriots.
He could use that 15% of the black vote back. That would make a dent. And the male vote seems to be quaking in its boots they way it crashed.
Okay, reason I'm asking:
Look at the CHARACTERISTICS OF CANDIDATE SUPPORT page
You see those gray bands in the middle. There's a 95% confidence in the winner when it appears about the band. Sort of a margin of error thing.
Okay, now go to the Black vote. Notice anything strange? The gray band is irregularly shape. It has those weird bulges. And every bulge seems to coincide with Trump's support among Blacks jumping from 3-5% to 12-20%.
Q: which are the anomalies here? Does the bigger gray area mean a larger margin or error or something? Fewer people surveyed?
I'm curious about this.
Early voting has already started, so it wouldn't be feasible to replace Hillary, even if the e-mails were released today. As long as she has a pulse (and even if she doesn't) she'll be on the majority of ballots on Election Day, no matter what happens. My guess either "Anonymous" is blowing smoke, or "Anonymous" doesn't realize how glacier-like the US state and local bureaucracy moves, even in the 21st Century.
BTW, is this a clue? Democrat Party is the grammatically correct term for the "Democratic Party". The party is obviously not "democratic", just based on the e-mails regarding Bernie. I've always said "Democrat Party". I thought only Democrats called it the "Democratic Party".
