When Donald Trump threatens to lock up Hillary Clinton if he were president, he's merely "channeling the frustrations of millions of Americans" — and doesn't ultimately have that power, his campaign manager suggested Wednesday.
"It wouldn't be up to him whether or not she goes to jail.That would have to be fully adjudicated through the regular channels like it would be for anyone else," Kellyanne Conway said on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Obama wouldn’t even mention treason or specific offences, and wouldn’t need to. He would likely do a blanket pardon as Ford did for Nixon, covering all possible “offences” and covering the dates of Shrillary’s tenure as Secretary of State. I’m not saying he definitely will do it, I have no idea how he views the matter, but precedent exists, of a kind, if Obama wants to do it.

The only reason she wasn’t already arrested is because the FBI director flat out refused to do his job - and admitted it. As President, Trump could overrule that decision and simply have her arrested on the grounds that she would have been anyway except for FBI misfeasance.

Ford’s blanket pardon was not valid.
It would be impossible to assert that an offence had been adjudicated without a record thereof.

All Trump said to her was, “If I’m President, I’ll have my Atty Gen appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate you and your 33,000 deleted emails.” Later on, in another discussion he told her she’d be in jail; but not the HE’d put her there.

Are you a constitutional lawyer? It would seem not. Wishing yourself to be right will not make it so. You are full of strident opinions but you cannot read the obvious, yes SIMPLE (in this case), text of the US Constitution, nor can you understand a clear “SIMPLE” precedent that has existed unchallenged and undisturbed for 42 years and counting.
The Ford pardon is “valid” because it exists, it was effective during all of Richard Nixon’s remaining natural life, and it was never challenged legally or invalidated by the US Supreme Court. Whether the Ford pardon was a good idea legally, morally, politically, historically, or in any other way are separate issues from whether it took effect legally and remained effective during all of Nixon’s remaining years.
No matter how many times you assert your personal opinion, it will not prevent Obama from issuing such a pardon for Hillary if he chooses to do so. There is nothing to prevent him from doing so if he so decides, and it would be effective. It is your view which is “way too simplistic.”
