Lots of natural resources. Iron , gold, silver, etc. Oh, and uranium.

Never mind on the uranium, Hillary and 0bama gave them ours.

This sounds like almost theatrical posturing, like a caricature of a country at war.

If you’re staff posted abroad, you’re normally going to want to have your kids with you. You might not like the public schools in some places, but generally private schools or tutoring are also available. Shoot, in this age of the internet, they could virtually Russian school the kids. It sounds like a nothingburger of an issue from the Russian side. This is theater for public consumption.

Still, do you have to run a whole society to use its mines?

At least they still see some value in having their children acculturated. Ours is practically the opposite.

If Russia does anything, it will be in the days right after the election, IMHO. Essentially we will have no one running the show, and if Hillery gets in, this is a sure thing.

I suspect Russia has decided its time to settle things once and for all...its a excellent time. The US has signaled it will not launch on warning and so we are telegraphing we will ride out the opening attack and hope we still have forces left to respond. Unlike our weak Government who thinks a nuclear was isn’t winnable the Russians are not under that illusion.

Can’t blame Putin after all of that war talk by Hillary last Sunday.

The world knows more about nukes than it did in the Cold War. Land missiles are also only a third of the picture — 2/3 is something more than a “hope.” Russia knows MAD is still MAD.

And at that, to prop up a bunch of Moose. Russia has to wonder how many genies have gotten loose in the White House.

A further move to consolidate power in the Ukraine or some other former Russian satellite country? Conventional attack which will quickly put down the Ukrainian forces and onward to Kiev. Putin has been complaining about Ukrainian nationalist forces causing mischief in Crimea. Who knows. But one thing is abundantly clear. He perceives the Obama led US as weak and vulnerable.

I have to wonder why Russia would want Trump to win. They might actually prefer Clinton, with her, they would have a continuation of the chaos of the Obama years, a vacuum they can exploit without much fear of push-back.

On the other hand, they might want Trump if they value a partnership against actual threats in the world.

Hard to know with the post-Soviet mentality in Moscow, whether it’s their best interests or the nostalgia for the past, a continual drumbeat about impending nuclear war, part threat and part smokescreen to keep the masses on their toes and voting for the party (nowadays of course that is not quite as obligatory as it used to be).

My guess is that the Clinton forces are whipping up all this anti-Russian talk to solidify the remaining neo-con and hawkish sort of vote that used to go to the Republicans but now that Trump has signalled changes in thinking, might be nervous about which side to support. Cheney, who is a credible voice in those circles, needs to put his hat in the ring (for Trump).

See my 4chan thread.

Says Obama will start a war with Russia to avoid prosecution.

MAD only works if you are willing to use it, plus half of our Sub missile boats are decommissioned and what Bomber force...handful of aging B-52’s and B-1’s so the triad is broken.

Now, is there any doubt that Hillary is a lunatic and Russia is extremely concerned that Hillary could have her finger on the nuclear trigger button?

When throwing ashtrays and lamps just isn't enough, she'll graduate to ICBMs...

Oh please Russia, stop the saber rattling. Nobody wins a nuclear war, nobody. That is why it is called MAD.

Sorry Flip, but if a nuclear war takes out Russia, America and China, islam wins.

islam winning is obama's life's goal.
