I lived there 1977-1981 and it was just plain old Dade. When did they change it?
The corruption was awful in Miami .
The state forced the city to dissolve .
Bribes and rigged elections and bankruptcy .

I think maybe about ten years ago. I lived in Dade county from 1963 to 1991, so it happened after I left.
