Drove the beautiful state of Illinois from Paducah KY to Beloit WI and back again. Rolling hills, silos & farmhouses, wonderful! Lots of wind farms but oh, well.
Springfield is to blame, but not Chicago? Hmm....
I grew up in southern Illinois, was in Chicago for almost 30 years, and escaped to Indiana three years ago. I still get back home several times a year. I love southern and central Illinois and the people there. When I make the drive through that rich, productive land, it always crosses my mind how the bastards in Springfield and Chicago (and the voters who elected them) have ruined Illinois for the good, hardworking people who live there.
