A top Hillary Clinton aide's email was grossly misrepresented on Tuesday morning and twisted to suggest the Democratic nominee had "begun to hate everyday Americans."
The false narrative was born when WikiLeaks published another batch of emails from John Podesta, the chairman of the Clinton campaign.
In one message to Jennifer Palmieri, communications director for the Clinton campaign, Podesta wrote: "I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans, but I think we should use it once the first time she says I'm running for president because you and everyday Americans need a champion."

Then what does “I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans” mean?
Of course, we give her a contextual pass, but not Donald.
Best election ever....
“Fact check”? Ha! They didn’t ask a single person involved in the email chain, they offer only their own opinion.
Rather than run block for Podesta et al, how about they ask Podesta?
It is going to be drip, drip, drip ... through election day.
Then what does I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans mean?
If you are separating M&Ms by color with a friend you might say, “here’s a bunch of yellows”, when what you mean is, “here’s a bunch of yellow M&M’s”. But it is implied within the context.
here, they said, I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans. But what I think they meant was, I know she has begun to hate the phrase, ‘everyday Americans’
1. I should have never left High School, as I am unable to understand plain English or context.
2. If they are trying to correct context, then they are admitting these emails are fact.
I wanted to squeeze there obfuscation and find alot of ways to doit butt, I just don’t understand how beleagured these souless half watts reelly are...
Fact-checking is not fact-checking.
fact-checking is really just all about reinforcing the liberal candidate or the liberal side of some controversy.
that’s what fact checking is.
No one believes this shabby excuse or anything else Hillary’s army of liars has said or written. They are so twisted that Satan has difficulty telling which is the best liar in the bunch.
Are you listening to Hillary now...Oh my gosh she’s blaming the flooding in the Carolina’s to Climate Change!!!!
Then she says reason man hole covers get lifted up when people see this happen isn’t because of water breaks it’s because the ocean is lifting them up!
Alinksy tactics now invoked.
“True. But the Dems are, for once in their life, correct on this issue.”
Not true, the context is how she can identiy with “everyday Americans” by being their champion, not calling them by another name.
Is that you, Mook?
That is an important admission to keep in mind.
However, in the context of Podesta's email, I think that it is the use of the phrase, "everyday Americans" that Hillary has begun to hate. And thus it is why Podesto states they need to use the phrase at least once at the beginning.
Of course, the reason that Hillary hates the phrase may be because of her hatred everyday Americans, but it's difficult to identify that hatred of Americans as the definition of the phrase in Podesta's email.
Keep them on the defensive!
Uh, the email SAID those words.
I’m really impressed with the right wing cabal working against hillary — that’s quite a disingenuous twist to claim that the words “I know that she’s begun to hate everyday Americans” mean that she’s begun to hate everyday Americans. /s
Yes, it was the phrase that she didn’t like, not the actual people.
“The person writing the email simply left out the comma.”
Yes, it certainly is obvious that he was expressing love for Americans. No doubt.
Of course, it makes one wonder why he wrote what he wrote.
