Isn’t it illegal to tape someone without their consent? What type of device was used to record Donald? Was it a recorder in Billy Bush’s pocket that he could turn as he goaded Trump into his braggadocio? Did Billy think he could blackmail Trump with this video? Is NBC covering their ass for a libel suit that may be in the works?

Trump is on such a different level. I doubt he cares about legalities unless it can benefit him. Bush is the kind of sophomore pledge boy that Donald day dreams about having roasted over an open spit between billion dollar deals.

If I was Bush I would be praying that trump takes me to court and doesnt really ruin my life the way that international multi billionaires can.

That depends on state. But I assume Trump signed releases related to taping (and his being miked), so they own all the footage from his appearance.

It depends on the state. Some states are two-party consent states, meaning that all parties must consent to the recording. Other states are one-consent states, meaning that only one party (i.e. the recording party) must consent. Only California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington are two-party consent states.
