Hard to say. I don’t think it’s just him spouting off but he probably realizes we can’t win with this backstabbing. What’s been done is disgraceful. I’m sure he thinks he has to run against the leadership to have any chance.

Speaking to that, I once read a book that included a chapter or two on Lyndon B. Johnson. According to what I read, no one would cross LBJ for fear of getting the ‘Johnson treatment’.
The author was not clear on exactly what that kind of retribution entailed.
