Man, these NFL national-anthem protests are “dumb and disrespectful,”

Why even play the national anthem at a football game? Why denigrate one of our nation's symbols by playing as a "pep" song at athletic events.

When else then would the average American child ever even hear it played?

I agree: If high school graduation commencement celebrations, or other official academic events, always began with the anthem, we wouldn't need to have it played at football games.

Huh, there are still new ones? I stopped watching the NFL when they decided the US didn’t matter to them.

"Would I arrest them for doing it" is a reductio so absurdum that it defies any understanding of the issues at play here. Couric then follows up with a question that's almost as silly by asking Ginsburg if it's "within their rights" to kneel, sit, or do the Funky Chicken during the national anthem.

As we prepare the aloha music for Notorious RBG, try to remember stuff like this, as well as the fact that the leftists blame her for not retiring in time for Obama to name the replacement.
