Here are some of the attacks Cruz would have be hit with:
- he’s a Canadian, born in Canada
- not a natural born citizen, ineligible to run, lawsuits
- more info on his alleged affairs would come out, and there may be credibility here as his wife was found crying on the side of the highway allegedly after one of the affairs
- would be painted as a religious nut-job by the Democrats
- they would play the race card on him
- go after his flip flops: was for TPA with Paul Ryan before he was against it, H1B Visas increasing 500% or not
- Liberal Supreme Court Picks: pushed John Roberts!
- Lying Ted, and if you don’t think he lies, ask Ben Carson. He says that if you say something that isn’t true and you keep saying it and you know it isn’t true (Trump would be worse than Hillary for example), then there is no other word for it.
- in his college days, he would walk in a bathrobe in the girl’s dorm, more things would come out like this
- Heid exposed, Goldman sachs loans and associations
- he is no Ronald Reagan no matter how much you think he is
- no executive experience, never ran anything, we already went though that with Obama
- establishment would treat him badly just like they are treating Trump, don’t kid yourself, they think Cruz is a wacko bird
- and if that doesn’t work they will just make other stuff up like they are doing now with Trump
Cruz would only be on offense is ludicrous. As you know Trump is on defense because he is being attacked from all sides. But he is also on offense - Didn’t you watch the debate?
If Cruz was in he would be down 20% by now just like he lost to Trump by 20%. How could Cruz be beating Hillary if he cannot even beat Trump? You complain about Trump getting 45%. Well, Cruz only got 25%! Hello!!!
Considering the blows that landed, Trump did seem to be on the offensive at the 2nd debate.
Maybe Levin fell asleep.
Trump made enough of an impression to be back in the lead in some major polls, after the lockertalk tape and after the 2nd debate.
Those who let the lockertalk tape change their votes were not on the Trump train anyway, considering the alternative — another Clinton presidency.
Needing 1,237 to win, the first ballot convention vote had Trump with 1,725 and Cruz at under 500.
That was the biggest win of any non-incumbent Republican in recent history.
Trump got the highest number of primary votes of any Republican in history.
Levin can continue to ignore the results, but Cruz would not have attained those kinds of numbers. Cruz just did not have that much pazazz and charisma.

No, we wouldn’t. We would be in another one of your no win scenarios with Jeb or any of the others you liked. Instead of Trump who still has the best chance to beat Hillary.

I don’t think Levin’s mind can be restored and he’s too immature and undisciplined to step up unequivocally - but it seems beyond delusional that he believes Cruz could withstand for more than a few weeks what Trump has gone through for this campaign. Not to mention, Levin seems to think the media would offer questions like Mike Lee just answered.
If anything, the media has held back just a tad on Trump because of his connections and money. They would have people shredding Cruz’ character and past unprecedentedly ...

So i guess hillary and mark both have baskets of deplorables now. Looks like he's writing off the entirety of FR because of one post ... duh.
Mark’s fill-in today, Inga Barks, sounds as if she has been drinking or is otherwise impaired.

I knew something was wrong with her before I heard a dozen words out of her mouth.
She’s not making a fool of herself yet, and she’s certainly doing better than I could sitting in front of that mike, but something is definitely wrong with her tonight.
Booze? Pills? A little Friday afternoon shenanigans at the Bakersfield station? Did it only occur to her after her third Vodka & Sprite that she was filling in on national radio tonight?
At moments it’s almost painful to listen, knowing how well she normally does, but overall she’s holding her own, I guess.
I think Mark may be wanting to have a word with her about it, and hopefully we haven’t heard the last of her, because she’s a good conservative and a good host and I like her as a fill-in for Mark.
That said, Barks was fired from her first station KMJ in Fresno after she was arrested for public intoxication. I hope she's not having a relapse in judgment.
