I think Trump won by far, but not because of any Luntz focus group. I don’t take Luntz seriously.
Notwithstanding the positive outcome of this particular focus group, Luntz is sort of the Dick Morris of pollsters — be wary of his conclusions being the opposite of reality. Another fat guy who loves attention.
I agree with you about Luntz. A lot of times his “independent & Undecided” voters spew the lines from the campaigns.
It’s not beneath political operatives to lie and say they are undecided.
The mean sentiment graphs posted by Luntz are pretty interesting, regardless of how his focus group might be stacked.
But, I'm not sure you know: this time, Luntz's group went "bigly" for Trump: like 21 to 8.
