The counter to any Donald Trump tape are two things: Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton. Both have such disgusting records that they are indefensible. Both make Trump look like a choir boy.
Maybe their computer models were saying they must stop Trump now, or his momentum will make him unbeatable.
Hard to know what is in the echo chamber head of Hillary.
What we need to do is make this election so toxic that these people won’t bother to vote
We need to be shouting Bill Clinton’s rapes and Bill Cosby like actions at every chance
We need to be showing the clips of Hillary defending a child rapist and laughing about and saying the innocent victim deserved it
We need to make it so toxic that these wishy washy “independents” and “undecids” won’t even bother to vote for either
Trump has a stronger base then Hillary, Hillary’s base is not enthused about here, Trump’s is.

I completely agree with the author. The Wiki releases would have (and still might) open a wound so large that Hillary cannot recover by election day.
The good news is, the open Mic recording is probably the biggest thing in Clinton’s arsenal. It will blow over within the week, while Wikileaks continues to unload major dirt on Hillary.
Public perception of the candidates will look completely different a week from today.

That hot mic recording would have had more effect the day before election day. Now I suspect it will be old news by then, probably replaced with something dirtier.

It’s funny...I did this back in the 90’s. It was truly like running 100 mph and then slamming into a brick wall of either indifference, ignorance or flat out rejection.
But decades later-thanks to social media-all the old scandals are being revealed to a whole new generation. And the MSM is being lampooned more than revered. Could just be my take on it.
demon craps don't do dynamic analysis. when you're married to a skunk that has sprayed people for years, the last thing you want to do is dredge up that time eleven years ago when your opponent had a case of b.o. in the locker room.

That was my first thought. Because of Trump's potty mouth, no one is talking about the Clinton speeches in which she advocates open borders and open trade.
I think if the tapes were just reported honestly it may have hurt trump...but the ludicrous attempt to spin it as Trump is, or is advocating folks be, a sexual predator from this is just too over the top and will backfire

Nope. In a way America is becoming like a small town thanks to instantaneous social media.
Noone has dared to say this yet but some segments of the electorate may actually see his comments as not positive, but not a problem. Those segments may include former factory workers, minimum wage lower income voters, rap listenahs, and assorted Sanders supporating youth. Might even offset the loss of the tiny percentage of undecided women still not vomited to a candidate. And after Trump unleashes hell in response, those ladies won’t be going for Bill Enabler Hill.
