Washington state's GOP chair responded to Donald Trump's sexually aggressive remarks about pursuing and groping women by pointing out they "were made when he was a Democrat."

Trump has changed his political affiliations several times over the years. The fact-checking website PolitiFact reported Trump was, in fact, registered as a Democrat from August 2001 until September 2009.

Thank you. He’s the first guy I’ve wanted to support since Reagan.

If he does 20% of what he has promised, he’ll be the best since Reagan.

Who has promised to deliver more?

What at folks waiting for?

I rewrote my commentary in post 60. It had some glaring errors and I want to be able to link the naysayers to it from here on out.

I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I'm 100% behind Trump, but I also have extremely low expectations of him.

I've been around New York City long enough to know what the guy is all about, and I'm OK with it because I'm not voting based on his positions on anything (I don't trust his positions on anything). I'm voting for him because I want to see the entire political establishment in Washington -- Democrat and Republican alike -- turned completely upside down.

I've said from the start that Trump is likely to turn out to be a very erratic person in public office, and that many of his strongest supporters here on FreeRepublic could eventually get to the point where they'd deny ever voting for him.

There's a reason why this election has involved almost NO conversation about substantive issues. Hillary Clinton has nothing to say on these issues because the most recent Wikileaks dump demonstrates that she's full of sh!t from top to bottom (see "public position" vs. "private position" item of note). Trump has very little to say because he's never reflected on these issues much at all -- and has probably taken five different positions on any given issue, anyway. In Trump's case there is nothing wrong with that, because I'm not voting for a serious man. I'm voting for a clown ... and he's OUR clown.

Trump is a private citizen. He found ways to be successful in spite of the political establishment that views him and US as their slaves. The day Trump uses an elected office to strip US even more clean bare than the political hacks have, I will have no problem calling Trump out.

Trump understands the founders intent of ‘we the people are government’. I find the liars Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz worse than the in your face progressives. I voted for the womanizer, ISiS US leader, lord McCain, and that spineless wimp, Romney. Neither of these bums give a damn about ‘we the people’!

I ask you and others to please talk positively about Trump.

People are still making up their minds. You respond by doubling down on the negatives regarding Trump.

You say you want him to win in one sentence and spent twenty sentences telling me how bad he is.

Just curious. Is English your second language?

One of the more enlightening experiences of my life was being the lone man (and officer) at a table full of enlisted women during an offsite unit function when I was young. So the critics can spare me their sanctimony.

PING!!!

He still is a Democrat. He’s been a NY liberal his whole life. Doesn’t matter that he calls himself Republican now. Anyone with a brain should see what he is. I hope he mops the floor with Hillary but Trump is not one of us.

I’d ask you if it had dawned on you yet, but it’s obvious by this statement that it hasn’t.

Trump is so right of center that the Republican party has disowned him.
