GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will no longer attend a campaign event on Saturday with House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), according to reports.
Ryan was originally scheduled to appear with Donald Trump, but Trump was dropped from the event in the wake of the Washington Post publishing leaked audio of Trump making vulgar comments about women in 2005.
Pence was supposed to attend in his running mate’s place. But the Indiana governor is "not going to the Wisconsin GOP event today,” according to NBC News.
Pence decided himself not to attend the event and was not uninvited by Ryan, according to a Politico reporter. Trump's campaign is under siege from Republicans on Saturday in the wake of the leaked audio. Four GOP senators have called for him to leave the party's presidential ticket, another said she won't vote for him, and two House members unendorsed him.

I think we all might as well realize this isn’t going to end well. I’m voting for Trump, and don’t care what he said, but in reality I think he lost the race yesterday.
In New York speak Trump was defending the honor of a married woman in a self depreciating way. Let me translate for you... “I am a handsome billionaire celebrity, I am irresistible to women and have many opportunities. I tried my best to seduce this woman using all of my impressive resources and she remained faithful to her husband. She is a saint.”
I forgot to italicize the other poster’s words. I do not believe this is over by any means.
This will blow over quickly and it is going to be a landslide for Trump.
That ass Mike Lee is having the vapors - and calling for Trump to drop out.

-—Just a gut thing. Pence, though I like him, still sees everything from a political point of view(the next campaign). And I’m sure, as I’m typing this, the GOPE is telling Pence to think about his future in politics etc etc etc...and that he should remove himself. Though they don’t know it now, it would be a bad political move.
Like I said, I’m still voting for Trump, and could care less that he said a few vulgar things (what man hasn’t said the same things at some point in their lives). I’ve heard men say far worse when they didn’t think anyone was listening.
Ryan could not even handle crazy uncle joe in the vp debate.
Hey, like I’ve already stated twice. I could care less what he said I’m still voting for Trump. I know most men have, at one time or another, probably have said basically the same things Trump said - just men being juvenile around other men.
But the reality of politics is this isn’t going to go well period. If you remember in 2000 a week before election they released Bush’s arrest for DUI. Bush still scrapped a win barely but that hurt his numbers. This will hurt Trump’s numbers and we’ll just have to see how badly. My personal feel is that it’s really going to hurt.
Trump chose a running mate with character. In this case specifically: LOYALTY.
Yes, Ryan is a jerk and I don’t think he’s all that bright - remember, four years ago, Slow Joe cleaned his clock in the VP debate. Joe Biden.

Well said. While I do not pray often, I do pray to the Lord that Trump/Pence win this election. The future of the world depends on it.
Many here interpreting this as Pence rebuking Ryan. I wouldn’t jump too fast to that conclusion. More likely something is underway behind the scenes and Pence needs to be closely involved.
He is NOT removing himself from the ticket. Why would you think that?
Not only America, but the entire planet. Imagine Hillary pulling strings and pushing buttons domestically and internationally?

Ryan, Lee, Priebus, and the rest of them made a big gamble, and have not thought this through. I predict their future Will be a disaster.
