Pew reported in July that

fully 78% of white evangelical voters say they would vote for Trump if the election were held today, including about a third who “strongly” back his campaign...

Two-thirds of religiously unaffiliated registered voters say they would vote for Clinton if the election were held today, just as two-thirds intended to vote for Obama

One can understand why Blacks and Hispanics vote for Clinton to keep the welfare goodies, but why would White mainline Protestants and Catholics join the heathen bloc in voting for her?

Are we talking about the same bunch of people who still put money in the collection basket each week while priests were molesting children left and right while their uppers looked the other way and moved them to different parishes without discipling them or warning their future victims of the danger they were in?

I am a FORMER Catholic and I am voting for Donald Trump.

Dear daniel1212,

They are not Catholic, they only think they are Catholic, they like the cache and the smug, self-reasoned, satisfaction of ‘being Catholic’ among their ‘Catholic’ peers.

But Daniel look at it from your standpoint - they are really protestants, not really good protestants, but protestants none the less. They are just one banana peel away from joining you in your own smug satisfaction.

More than half of all U.S. Catholics (52 percent) would cast a vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton if the election were held today, compared to just 32 percent for Republican Donald J. Trump...

This result is not surprising and probably is consistent with past voting habits. It is very sad to see so many people who claim to be Catholic, siding with Satan.

My uncle once told me that he votes for Democrats because they bring jobs and money into their district.

These people are unable to vote any other way. They cannot connect the dots to see how self destructive they are by standing wth corruption, the culture of death, and the demise of the USA into a third world cesspool.

More recent:

A new poll has reaffirmed Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump among Catholic voters in the US presidential election. The Democratic candidate is supported by 56 per cent of Catholics, compared to 40 per cent for the Republican, according to the survey commissioned by Catholics for Choice.

Clinton's strongest lead is among Latino Catholics, 63 per cent of whom support her while only 22 per cent are planning to vote for Trump, according to the poll. Latinos make up around a quarter (26 per cent) of the Catholic electorate.

Trump leads Clinton by 13 points among white Catholics, by 50 per cent to 37 per cent. He also has a slight lead among Catholic men: 45 per cent to Clinton's 41 per cent.

However, Clinton has a considerable lead among Catholic women – 50 per cent to 35 per cent – and enjoys a lead among Catholic millennials (aged 18-33) and so-called Generation X members (aged 34-49). The candidates are nearly even among baby boomers (aged 50-68), with Clinton slightly in the lead, winning 46 per cent support compared to 42 per cent for Trump...

Some 72 per cent of those polled believe that abortion should be available to pregnant women who have contracted the Zika virus, and 70 per cent of Catholics do not think that companies should be allowed to use the owner's religious beliefs as a reason to deny services to a customer or employee. - Catholics, Especially Latinos And Women, Favour Clinton Over Trump ...

Total unadulterated Irish BS. I don’t believe it for one second...

No one is going to vote for this POS Hillary Clinton. They won’t.

Forget what’s going on now. I refuse to watch TV or listen only to Fox Business. I won’t listen to the Trump tapes.

Is the guy a closet porn watcher? Maybe you start getting in that territory, I might consider getting upset, but let’s not forget who dumped this crap on him...

The Bush Family.

Let see what else kicks out.

You can go to Google and see all kinds of stuff on Trump going back to when he’s a toddler.

You are not a Catholic in your heart if you can support someone like Hillary Clinton.

Her position on abortion alone is reason enough but there is so much more.

That includes liberal Catholics.

I would be curious to know if Trump is doing that little bit better with the Hispanic Catholic vote than McCain or Romney did (as a point of interest)?

2012: "Reuters/Ipsos exit polling found that 51 percent of Catholics favored President Barack Obama, compared with 48 percent for Republican contender Mitt Romney. A report by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life had a similar finding, with 50 percent of Catholics for Obama and 48 percent for Romney, the same as the popular vote in the general population."

Question is, how many Catholics are "shy" Trump voters -- won't even admit to their Priest in Confession that they will vote for Trump?

Trump seems to be doing about as well with evangelicals as any Republican, including Romney. The election will come down to enthusiasm and voter turnput (That's pretty obvious.)

Poll: Catholics Support Hillary Clinton, Gay Marriage

It's simple. They cannot take communion until they reconcile this implicit evil with their faith. That's all there is to it, including all of what will follow for them.

The Bishops and Priests are now coming out very strong against the Democrat party now. EWTN, the Catholic cable station (huge audience) is now very active in expressing the idea that to vote democrat is literally a sin, which it really is.
