For the last year, all eyes have been focused on the future of the Republican Party. Pundits love to talk about the collapse of the party, the fractures between social and fiscal conservatives, the number of party leaders who say they will not vote for the GOP nominee and what the party will do to rebuild the day after the election – in the wake of what the media now believes will be the defeat of Donald Trump.
But here's what no one is talking about – the one awkward subject that will stop a Washington dinner party cold and send guests into stunned silence – and that is, what if Hillary Clinton loses the election? Right now, it looks like the GOP will hold the House, and my U.S. News colleague Joseph Williams wrote recently that there are growing predictions Republicans will hold the Senate as well. If the Republicans sweep the House, the Senate and the White House, the Democratic Party will implode....

I sure hope she loses. The DEMs have nothing but old white liberals many in the public are getting tired of seeing. If Trump wasn’t such a wildcard, he would be ahead by 10pts.

If the Republican party does what the author suggests, the Democrats will revert to the gutter, and it will be a short trip from where they are now, but a Hispanic candidate will rise just as Obama did.
The Democratic Party is in trouble regardless. They have a very shallow bench, and even a Hillary win won’t change that.

All in Republican hands. If Trump can peel off just enough of the black vote and keep it, the Democrats will be shattered. They won’t go quietly but we’ll be able to get to work on rebuilding the country...including replacing Obama judicial appointees, or at least adding Trump appointees to counter them until they can be replaced.

Agreed. Even if she wins, she and the Dems could likely be barely out of the starting gate and they will be in one form of serious trouble or another and the media can only do so much to cover them.
