“What kind of service does the “community” think it’s going to get when this is the first thought going through an officer’s head?
“We’ll tell you exactly what they’ll get - nothing. It’s simpler to disengage and clean up the aftermath of a “community” with zero impulse control, zero pride, zero sense of personal responsibility. A “community” that has accounted for 80% of the shootings and homicides this year and nearly 85% over the past decade.”

My guess is that this violence is a hail mary by the black political power structure in Cook county and Chicago as they were pretty much wiped out and are now declining in influence (”diversity” blacks hit hardest) So yeah if I am a cop in that area they get nothing except a police report and a phony smile.
They chant black lives matter, yet kill hundreds of their fellow blacks each year. They want bad cops gone, but see no problem when one of their own nearly beats a cop to death for no reason.
Almost every “unarmed” “victim” of a police shooting they have protested had done something to legally justify the use of deadly force. I see no difference between these communities in the US and 3rd world hell holes. They both want instant street justice that fits their narrative.
It is time for the rank and file to simply stop getting involved in a quagmire and only respond to calls. No more patrols to try to stop crime when it will get you injured or killed and called racist. Just come in, take pictures, collect evidence, write up a report and leave. They won’t police their own, why should someone else?
