Really? YOU explain how a successful businessman, with excellent views, and no record to really criticize, is polling in the 30s. Come on. So sick of this lame argument. What’s the downside? Tell me that. Even if it’s marginal, why isn’t he unloading ads on her????

So your answer is you don't have any actual evidence to show that political TV ads significantly impact election outcomes. I couldn't find it either. Maybe that is why Trump is using his resources in other ways. He did the same thing in the primaries. He over performed a vast majority of the RCP primary vote polling averages using that strategy. Spent almost nothing on ads. Crushed a field of highly touted competitors ending up with the most primary votes in GOP history. It didn't really seem to make sense while it was happening then either. But it sure was effective.

It is entirely possible that the traditional measures being used to gauge the status of this election are completely invalid. Brexit is an obvious example of that. But so was Trump's primary campaign. In both cases, the side given no chance of winning achieved what amounted to a solid victory. Yet every single traditional indicator pointed in the opposite direction. Just something to think about.

He is running ads, you live where CT? Why waste money in a state filled with other morons. Check your facts before you run your mouth, he is spending in battlegrounds ON ADS. I live in Western Pa and see plenty of Trump ads, billboards, yard signs. So genius you think he is sitting on a big pile of money and purposely not spending it, because he and all his million dollar consultants are telling him not to? What universe do you live in? If that was a magic bullet don't you think he would use it.

Now if you are one of those conspiracy nutters who thinks Trump is in this for some publicity stunt and purposely throwing the election, you need to tell us all that.

It could be nothing more than statistical noise.

.4 change? Well within the margin of error - more like the eye of the hurricane.

The NRA ads for Trump are great. Many feature women.

I’ve seen them. They are, I agree. Where are Trump’s ads? Don’t leave ANY of your ammunition on the table. Unload ALL of it, now

I’m not talking about CT. I’m talking about battlegrounds, genius. He BRAGS about not spending on ads, in the same breath, he BRAGS about having so much money on hand...

And what’s with all the guys walking around who look they’re pregnant- with twins?

Sick of seeing it, they have not birthed children and have no excuse to gorge themselves to resemble the final trimester of maternity. And it’s noticeably an American phenomena not seen in other cultures.

America’s pregnant men need to give up their EBT cards or their beer. When the waist size is bigger than the pant leg length, it is very unhealthy for the heart.

Too many walking snowmen of all colors.

TV political ads have been used for several decades. Billions and billions of dollars... That’s evidence enough for me. So is the fact this disgraceful, shrill, nasty witch is even with him

This is ok with you??? And save your insults, if that's all you have, it's pathetic

Week after week, Hillary Clinton outspends Donald Trump on television advertising. During the week that started Sept. 27, she spent $10 million, compared to around $6.4 million for Trump, bringing their totals for the cycle up to $131.6 million and $25.7 million. Still, at this point four years ago, President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign had spent more than $174 million on television advertising, while Republican challenger Mitt Romney had spent about $91 million, according to 2012 data. Factoring in advertising by all outside groups, there’s been $250 million in total TV ad spending so far this cycle, only around half the $481 million spent by this time in 2012.

Transistor radios and swords were really useful too in their day. Until you can counter an entire slew of actual data based research that shows the net impact of TV ads is very short lived and very low impact, your argument amounts to emotional ranting. Not useful in any kind of campaign.

Go back and compare how much Trump spent on ads in the primary compared to all his competitors. Then take another look at who crushed the field despite polling way behind almost all of them a majority of the race.

"Romney’s campaign spent $433.3 million in 2012, while outside groups and the Republican Party helped push the GOP’s 2012 presidential total to $1.24 billion, according to Federal Election Commission filings from the Center for Responsive Politics. Obama’s reelection campaign spent $683.5 million, with the Democratic Party and outside groups pushing the total to $1.1 billion, according to FEC filings. "

Mitt followed your strategy. Outspent Obama in ads. How's that work out for him?

Agree!! A couple things stick out. 1. All polls are over polling dems in their predicted turnout. 2. The Rasmussen poll shows 20% could change their mind and Clinton leads 38-31%. 20% of the projected turnout is approximately 26 million votes up for grabs. That represents a huge opportunity for Trump because these people don’t want to vote for Hillary or a third party candidate, but are waiting for Trump to address their fears about him having the temperament to serve as President. He must deliver in the upcoming debate.

Exactly. I am tired of wringing my hands and posting about it. This is Romney all over again in the ad department. At the last minute Romney ran some 'job creator' media which did nothing to drive down Obama's votes.

Trump needs to hammer her with negative ads while being balanced in the debates. I would hate to think the money he raised is to pay himself back for the money he loaned to the campaign. Whatever... I will vote Trump but just turn off the TV. Later... move to the mountains.

The primary is IRRELEVANT. He got a plurality among 16 candidates. This is a race against a POWERFUL, DISGUSTING, BLATANTLY BIASED media, and an almost $200 million ad onslaught so far, from the Crooked one. He needs to counter
