Actually, the change was triggered when video showed workers sleeping on the floor of the counting room. There seem to be adequate controls to prevent skimming, the issue was featherbedding. Literally, in this case. My understanding was that the union workers were going to get paid anyway, under the terms of the present contract. The “scabs” would be doing the work, the union guys would be kept out of the area. Of course, once it is shown that the outside contractors can do the job better for half the money, it will hard for the union to get back in.

Charlie Baker is a RINO, but this would never have happened if we had a Democrat as governor. Any RINO is still preferable to any Democrat.
