PLEASE PRAY
Prayers for all who are being impacted by this hurricane event.
Prayers. That is all we can do. Hurricanes are worse in October.
Mother nature at work.
How do you think the barrier islands were formed in the first place???
Prayers up from Tarpon...
Hey remember when Bush was responsible for the impact of major hurricanes? WTF isn’t Obama down there stopping this thing?
The real danger is over-hyping a storm that fails to fulfill media/government expectations. The next time a storm occurs, people don’t believe it and stay put.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away...
Fortunately we are over 12 feet above sea level. Still we are keeping a close watch on things.

Downtown Florida ????
It’s turning out to see, I just watched the latest radar, my bet is no serious damage in the US.
Apparently this hurricane will continue up the east coast.I am afraid. My faith must be too weak. I can handle emergency, but this waiting is so difficult.
3 of my children work for WalMart which has issued closings. No traffic on streets after 10 p.m.
We wait to know if we are to evacuate. Two of my 2 children work for hospital emergency services. My husband was sent to Chicago for work, but has gotten one of the last seats to arrive at Jacksonville 5:00 p.m.
Everyone at Free Republic is my family & neighbor. I apologize for my fear. When I went to my JAX NAS link this 1st page exists in bold red font.
I would share but do not know how to send a page to post

A NOAA station at Settlement Point on Grand Bahama recently reported a sustained wind of 45 mph (72 km/h) and a wind gust of 48 mph (78 km/h). A National Ocean Service station at Lake Worth Pier, Florida, recently reported a sustained wind of 40 mph (65 km/h) and a wind gust of 47 mph (76 km/h).
What got my attention is that this beast will linger offshore through one or more high tide cycles, like Sandy in 2012.
Except that Sandy was only a tropical storm.
CITY of ST. AUGUSTINE ISSUED UNDERWAY FOR MANDATORY EVACUATION. Currently 1.5 million people evacuating from FL.
Water & sewer outages begin at 8:oo p.m.

Guessing Big Media’s scripts are already being written to bash Trump for appearing somewhere “too soon” if he upstages Boss Fraud again, etc.
Hussein Head freaks will politicize ANYTHING, so let’s watch for it, and read past Big Media’s headlines before accepting ANY Big Media news report as true, ESPECIALLY when it appears to have no DIRECT relationship to politics.
Apparently the storm is crossing the gulf strea & the wrm water potential to increase maybe to Cat 5.
