I can't imagine. We had a storm come through our neighborhood in July. I never saw official wind speeds. However, there were big trees whose trunks were snapped in half. Based on that, we figured that the gusts had to be about 80mph. Those winds lasted about 5 minutes.

Sounds like a microburst or a wave of high winds aloft where the wave bottom dips down to the surface. You can end up with really high winds in one spot and virtually nothing in surrounding areas. Wind isn’t necessarily as linear as one would think.
