The answer is YES, at least in regard to obsession with demographic classification of people on the part of government. It's sick to the core!
In the US, the so-called "minority" groups designated benefit by special privileges granted them by almighty Big Brother. In the meantime, those of us of European descent are treated as second class citizens, no matter how much we and are ancestors have contributed to betterment of the American republic.
What ever happened to EQUAL RIGHTS and EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW in the United States?
And BTW, you can bet the farm that immigrants from Israel and their descendants will be excluded from the new politically correct "Middle East" designation!
