Also... telling an employee to stand while in uniform for the National Anthem is NOT a violation of his First Amendment rights. What he does off-duty is his prerogative, but in uniform, he represents the NFL in general and his team in particular.
The thing I don’t understand is that they applaud them for kneeling on the sideline, but if they hot dog it after a TD, a flag is thrown. How is that not expressing themselves?
One could argue that the ensuing 15 yard penalty hurts the team, but do they think all this unwanted attention is helping them?
