The NFL is in a bind, because if they do ANY sort of restriction - even by way of offering the entirely reasonable “let’s keep politics out of sports, we’re here to play football” - the black players will just go on strike, en masse. Season over.

And everyone knows it, so nobody at the NFL offices does anything, holding their breath that it doesn’t get any worse.

This has the potential to ruin the NFL in a way concussions never did.

If they let it seep into college sports, it’s over.

That’s a very perceptive take - the interesting thing to me will be how the black players react to the reality of the situation - that is, the reality that they’re losing money, and they may end up losing big money.

The league is full of thugs, with an entitlement mentality and an inability to see that ticking off the public eventually affects their pocketbooks. But it also includes a large number of smart individuals who are very insightful, guys with incredible work ethics and solid values. They’ve got to know what’s going on. Whether they decide to push back against the thug element - or even if they actually can - will be intriguing to watch.

Wonderful. Let them strike and see their revenues shrink. The silent majority has been “played” by these goons. It is almost as abhorrent as homosexual shacking to see the FANS cheering for people who despise them and their values.

The salivating, syncophant FANS are even MORE disgusting than those mooning the Stars and Stripes.

The black players don’t even need to go on strike. All they need to do is declare they won’t play hard if they are not allowed to protest the Anthem. (Something they might already have quietly communicated to the team owners)

How hard is it to replace them like they did in 1987?

Let them strike and be replaced. If permitted, pay the replacements enough to make striking a bad choice.

To which I say so what. I'm one American who is sick and tired of being bullied by race hustlers.

LOL, and pay for their mansions, cars etc how? You don’t seriously believe these putz’s would give up multimillion dollar salaries for something like this, do you?

. . . in which case, they’ve breached their contracts, which are voided, and now, how do they pay their entourage and small army of baby-mommas ?

It began at Mizzou last year. Too bad for football.

I don’t know that the black players would all go on strike.
I watched the Philly-Chicago game. The vast majority of the players were black. Only three idiots protested.

Black players will just go on strike en masse. Season over.

Why? Do you seriously think they can't find non-black players to fill their rosters and play a great game? Seems to me a lot of the issues and bad behavior has been coming from those who you hypothesize might boycott.

Without their million-dollar checks and endorsement deals, these know-it-alls will be no better off than those they pretend to care about.
