40 years ago when I first started watching SNL, they would take shots at both sides, and while they clearly leaned left, even I could laugh when they lampooned the right.

I haven’t watched them in decades, though. For me, at least, they stopped being funny a long long time ago.

It sounds funny to think, I started watching them 40 years ago. Wow. And stopped probably 30 years ago.

40-50 years ago Hillary would have been the laughing stock of the left. The satire back then was savage, and funny, and it was aimed at both sides. Now what passes for satire is just a bunch of liberals trying to one up each other in their hatred of conservatives, and it’s certainly not funny.

For a glimpse of real satire, try to find the song ‘Pull The Triggers’ from the old National Lampoon Lemmings stage show. It mauls the self righteous Joan Baez, and all the liberals pandering to black radicals. Listen to the song and think about what would happen to SNL if they performed this song about BLM and their self-hating liberal white supporters today.
