Ole Miss Student Arrested for Possession of State Flag
Breitbart ^ | 10-04-2016 | John Binder

Posted on 10/04/2016 6:10:38 PM PDT by brucedickinson

Dylan Wood, a third-year Ole Miss student told Breitbart Texas he was simply enjoying the game when a security officer approached him and said he had to take his mini version of the Mississippi flag from him because it was larger than what the stadium allows.

Wood said he agreed to leave the game and exited the Ole Miss stadium without any issues. Once outside, though, Wood said a security guard told him he would have to agree never to bring the state flag with him to another Ole Miss game or run the risk of being arrested. When Wood asked if he would truly be arrested for carrying the state’s flag, prompting the officer to spin him around and arrest him on the spot, taking him off to the local jail.

Pleasantly surprised it was about the flag’s size, and not more Confederate hysteria.

Confederate hysteria was probably more of a motivation than the flag’s size. I live in the State of Maryland which is disgracefully liberal, so instead of flying its flag I fly the beautiful flag of the great State of Mississippi on all National, Confederate, and Mississippi state holidays. Old Glory I fly every day of the year.

Lots of pretty girls in any college located in the South.

Actually the hottest girl I have ever seen was a Southern Baptist from Southern Illinois.

Do you really think it was about the size?

I don’t myself, but it’s possible you are correct.

Damn. I had a ticket to that game, but I stayed at home and watched it on TV for reasons I no longer remember. I’ve always regretted that.

I saw it on TV too.

I recall that Howard Cosell described it as the best game he ever saw or maybe the greatest ever, can’t remember his exact words.

And he was right!!

Although I really enjoyed the last Alabama-Notre Dame game, not for the excellence of the competition, but just to see those smug, uh, fellows taken down a well-deserved notch.
