North Korea has reportedly seen a surge in incurable diseases and radiation deaths after it carried out its fifth nuclear test.

Last month the secretive state triggered a magnitude 5.3 earthquake with a successful explosion which drew immediate condemnation from North Korea's neighbours and Washington.

I’d guess they had a serious accident at a plant or with materials in transit -sent the works in to clean it up wearing aluminum foil suits, double thickness.

Where did you get the idea that this poor excuse for propaganda was about the earlier tests. As it clearly says, "a surge in incurable diseases and radiation deaths after it carried out its fifth nuclear test.

Both articles are raising the possibility of ground water contamination, not exposure to atmospheric radiation.

Because I read the original article by Daily Star which interviewed this defector. That misleading phrase is not in that article. I think it is a shoddy writing.
