(CNN)Hillary Clinton emerges from the first presidential debate with a five-point lead over Donald Trump in the race for the presidency, having narrowed the enthusiasm gap between her supporters and Trump's, and holding broad advantages over the Republican nominee as the candidate with the right temperament and preparation for the job, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.
The survey finds Clinton topping Trump 47% to 42% among likely voters with Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson at 7% and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 2%. Clinton's boost in the race stems largely from gains on Trump among men (from a 22-point deficit with that group in early September to just a 5-point one now) and sharply increased support from independents, who broke heavily in Trump's favor in the early September poll but now tilt Clinton, 44% to 37%.

She brought the commies supporting Stein back into the fold. Stein is down to 2%
The reporters on GAY News9 in the Tampa bay area can barely contain themselves, barely hiding their orgasmic glee whenever they cite the CNN polls showing Her Heinious 4-5 points ahead.
May after 3 AM Tuesday morning.
Well, I hope you are right and they are fixed, but after people said the polls were wrong in past elections like 2012, I believe the polls. Again, I truly hope you are right.
Clintoon News Network. (((YAWN)))
I posted the splits in post #3
It’s a lie.
Check all the internals and it will show every single demographic that helps HRC has been juiced in her favor.
Even our favorite poll at this time, the USC LA Times poll that shows Trump up by five points nationally can be shown to have gradually raised its percentage of women Polled up to, now 55.5 percent. But in reality, women are not enthused at all about this election while men are.
agree but he owns part of the problem....too much going after the crazy venezluan porn star rather than staying on message..
I agree. When I hear news from the networks, I’m already a step or five ahead here. By the time they’ve released a breaking news item, we’ve already heard of it and have far more details.
I don’t have FoxNews any longer, but each time I get a text about breaking news, I already know about it.
There are instances were something very big will happen and they beat us, but not very often.
The first debate is meaningless. Just ask President Romney.
49% Indies.
RIIIIIIIIGHT.
I don’t think it is that fluid
It is just the media “adjusting the numbers” to make it look fluid
People are not moving back and forth, no one is supporting Trump one day and then Hillary the next because the moderator kept attacking Trump. No one is paying that close attention.
This is all manipulation to sway Trump supporters, nothing more
It is all they have left at this point
btw- a month out; national polls mean diddly...its coming down to Florida and either Va/Pa/Mich/Wisconsin for Trump...
“No demographics (D/R/I) splits listed in the poll. For all we know, they polled Clinton Campaign Headquarters. I suspect this is unpublished because the D/R/I breakdown they needed to obtain this result was embarrassing to Hillary.”
-—This is what I found: Page 22 (Indep = almost 50% strange)
“Among the entire sample, 27% described themselves as Democrats, 24% described themselves as Republicans, and
49% described themselves as independents or members of another party.”
Just like all other times when every said he was done because of going after the Judge, the Kahns, etc., it will level off and he will be back up in the polls...right before election day the polls will show the tightening again so they can save face the day after...
Trump had a lousy debate. He did. Not real lousy. But lousy. He had a chance to knock Hillary out of the park but he focused on the wrong things. He didn’t bring up Benghazi, illegal immigration, hardly mentioned at all the non-secure server.
I trust he will do much better on Sunday. He’s got to avoid getting sucked in by Clinton and the liberal moderators and focus on how terrible Clinton is.
That first debate sounded more like a married couple arguing than anything.
“I posted the splits in post #3”
-—For some reason I overlooked your post lol But I think you did a better job w/ comparison. What they didn’t really say was the female/male percentages, or what their final “weighted” demo was
“I’d like to see things keep moving. I’m happy with the LA Times/USC poll, but it’s only one poll. (And I can’t say I understand its methodology”
It’s not just la times. It’s all 3 tracking polls that have trump in the lead. The other 2 are the PPD poll and the UPI poll. Google them and you’ll see.
I agree, I’d like to see all polls in our favor, but something isn’t right. All three daily tracking polls have trump ahead. All major conventional polls have Hillary in the lead. I just hope the tracking are right. This article seems to argue in favor of the la times methodology -

Also read the study linked at the bottom of the article. I hope this is correct.
From CNN? Another made-up load of crap via CNN la-la land, from the most biased, lying POS cable propaganda channel of all. What else would you expect the Clinton kNeepad Network to manufacture from thin air as “news?”
